These conditions explain how the AFTR Beta works and what taking part in it means. They're written to be understood, and they're not yet a final legal document: we'll review and complete them as AFTR moves forward.
A version under construction
AFTR is in Beta: an experimental version that keeps evolving.
That means:
- some features may change;
- some features may be modified, suspended or discontinued;
- errors may occur;
- the platform may evolve and change the way it works.
We work to make AFTR run well, but at this stage we can't guarantee that it will always be available, that it will work without interruptions or that it will keep information without failures. We recommend keeping your own copies of what matters most to you.
Your content
What you add to AFTR—photographs, stories, family details, places and other content—remains yours, within the rules and permissions of the platform.
You're responsible for having the rights you need over what you add; for example, over other people's photographs or writing.
For AFTR to work, it needs certain technical permissions over that content: to store it, to process it—for example, to create lighter versions of a photograph—and to show it within the platform to the people it's meant for.
Privacy and visibility
Who can see each piece of content depends on the privacy and visibility tools available in the Beta. Those tools are also being developed and may change.
Changes to these conditions
These conditions may be updated as AFTR evolves. Please review the current conditions from time to time; they're always the ones published on this page.
When there are relevant changes, we'll let you know.
